Overlap Capital is hiring a Product Manager to lead the evolution of CapAdvise™, with primary responsibility for shaping, extending, and operationalizing the CapAdvise™ Intelligence API. This role sits at the center of engineering, marketing, and advisory—turning strategy into shipped product.
You will work closely with MERN stack engineering teams, the Marketing Manager, and capital specialists to ensure CapAdvise™ evolves as a coherent, reliable platform rather than a collection of features. Your focus is outcomes, not outputs.
What You’ll Own
- The CapAdvise™ product roadmap and backlog
- Feature definition and prioritization for the CapAdvise™ Intelligence API
- Partner-facing API extensions and integration requirements
- Release planning and coordination across web and mobile platforms
- Product alignment across engineering, marketing, and advisory
You are accountable for what gets built, why it gets built, and when it ships.
Core Responsibilities
- Translate business goals into clear, actionable product requirements
- Work daily with MERN stack engineers to scope, sequence, and deliver features
- Manage the CapAdvise™ backlog, ensuring items are well-defined, prioritized, and outcome-driven
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager to align messaging, onboarding, and funnel behavior with actual product capabilities
- Define and manage API extensions that support partners, white-label use cases, and integrations
- Oversee release processes for Apple App Store and Google Play Store, including versioning, compliance, and timing
- Ensure product decisions support long-term scalability and maintainability
What This Role Is Not
- Not a project coordinator
- Not a UX-only role
- Not a feature factory
This role requires judgment and ownership.
Technical Context
You don’t need to write production code, but you must be fluent enough to:
- Communicate effectively with MERN stack engineers
- Understand API design, data models, and integration constraints
- Evaluate technical trade-offs and sequencing decisions
- Respect engineering complexity while protecting product clarity
Certification Requirement
All Product Managers are required to become certified as Business Funding Strategists through Overlap Capital’s Business Funding Strategy Checklist certification program.
This ensures product decisions reflect:
- Real capital readiness workflows
- Accurate lender and investor expectations
- Responsible guidance for end users
Certification is mandatory and part of onboarding.
Who You Are
You’re a strong fit if you:
- Have experience managing products built on modern web stacks
- Are comfortable working with APIs and backend-heavy platforms
- Think in systems, not isolated features
- Can balance speed with durability
- Communicate clearly across technical and non-technical teams
Experience in SaaS, fintech, or advisory platforms is a plus.
Who This Role Is For
- Product managers who want to own a core platform, not a feature slice
- Operators who enjoy working at the intersection of engineering and go-to-market
- Builders who care about long-term product coherence
Who This Role Is Not For
- Candidates looking for a purely execution or delivery role
- PMs uncomfortable with technical conversations
- Anyone uninterested in owning outcomes
